Government Senator, Matthew Samuda, has told a high level meeting of the Organization of American States, OAS, that the Jamaican government is committed to continue taking a range of actions as it contributes to the global push to protect the environment.
Samuda is currently in the US capital, Washington DC, representing Jamaica at an OAS meeting.
The meeting has been convened to discuss global de-carbonization efforts and climate change mitigation.
Senator Samuda told the OAS meeting that it will take a mixture of national responsibility and international cooperation to properly address significant challenges facing the global environment.
