An attorney-at-law, a businessman and an accountant have been charged in connection with an incident in which 19-firearms and 150 bullets were stolen from a business place in St. James earlier this year.
Accused of negligence is attorney, Tara Morgan, of Fairfield Estate in Granville, St James.
Morgan has been charged with 19 counts of negligent loss of firearm and 1 count of negligent loss of ammunition.
The attorney was granted bail today when she appeared in the St. James Criminal Court.
Morgan is to report to the Duhaney Park police station between 7:00 am and 7:00pm every Saturday.
Also charged are businessman, Courtney Morgan and accountant, Pauline Smith.
Both have been charged with operating a private security organization without being the holder of a valid licence for that purpose.
Courtney Morgan and Smith were offered bail in the sum of 2- hundred thousand dollars when they appeared in the St. James Criminal Court today.
It’s not immediately clear whether the Morgans are related.
The three accused are to return to Court on December 19 this year.
The 19 guns were stolen from a security firm located in Ironshore Industrial Estate in St. James.
Police reports are that Mr. Morgan had alleged that he left the business place with the weapons and ammunition stored in a safe.
Mr. Morgan further alleged that upon his return he discovered that the safe was broken into and all items stolen.
Three motorcycles, desktop computers and a CCTV recording device were also stolen.
